Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation: Philipp Schwartz-Initiative

The Philipp Schwartz-Initiative grants financial aids for universities and research institutions in Germany that intend to host threatened foreign researchers for a period of 24 months on a fully funded research fellowship. Researchers who are interested in the program cannot apply themselves but have to contact the potential host institution in Germany which may be in a position to submit an application. Researchers from any academic field and any country are eligible for the program if they have completed their doctorate or a comparable academic degree, have not resided outside their own country for more than three years, possess the language skills required to successfully conduct their research projects, possess academic qualifications (e.g. publications), and if they have potential to be integrated into the (research-related) job market. The funding includes monthly payments and a one-off lump sum for the host institution. Applicants must provide proof for danger in their home country.
