Special Needs

Students with special needs will find TU Dortmund University a suitable host as individual support is provided in different areas. Thanks to the International Office’s extensive network with the responsible institutions within and outside the university (e.g. Student Housing), a variety of assistance services is provided.

 

Studying with disabilities

TU Dortmund University has a unique “Special Needs Office” for students with disabilities and chronic illness, called DoBuS.

In order support students with special needs already prior to their arrival, the International Office and DoBus assist them in organizing and coordinating their study abroad experience in Dortmund.

If you should happen to have a disability or chronic illness, we are happy to help.

Studying with children

TU Dortmund University offers a variety of advisory and counselling services for families and is a member of a best-practice network called „Families at the University“.

If you plan to study abroad in Dortmund with your child/children we are here to help. The registration process at a day-care center or school takes some time, so please keep in mind to get in touch with us as early as possible.
