Choose your Degree Program

 

Please inform yourself about study programs at TU Dortmund University. The student registration office offers an updated list of all programs here.

If you need advice regarding the choice of your degree program or additional information on the study content, please contact the General Academic Information and Counseling (Allgemeine Studieninformation und -beratung).

 

Please note:

 

1. Degree Programs with a Numerus Clausus

 

Some study programs at TU Dortmund University have a Numerus Clausus (NC) which means that they are restricted programs. In order to take part in the selection process for a restricted study program you need to apply until January 15 (for the summer semester) and July 15 (for the winter semester). In addition to the university entrance qualification, you need to attach an officially recognized language proficiency test to your application.

Please note that you can add the language proficiency test, after submitting your online application, before the deadline (15. July).

2. English-taught Master Degree Programs

The following master degree programs are taught in English:

- Manufacturing Technology (MMT)

- Automation and Robotics

- Spatial Planning for Regions in Growing Economies (SPRING)

- Chemical Engineering - Process Systems Engineering

 

If you want to apply for any of these programs you do not complete the online application through the International Office. The application is processed by the concerning faculty. Each faculty offers more information on these programs on its website.

3. Study Programs for a Teaching Degree

If you are interested in a study program for a teaching degree, you need to pay attention to the following information:

It is necessary to choose multiple subjects of study (e.g. English and Arts) and a specific type of school (e.g. primary school). The DoKoll offers information on all necessary aspects (e.g. required aptitude tests) on its website and in personal meetings.
